Background
Spencer Manufacturing Ltd specialises in the manufacture of wire mesh, wire formed metal assemblies and tubular fabrications.
A recent business review has identified the need for a new energy
efficient wire bender machine to reduce energy consumption and cost.
Opportunity
The company currently operate an old
inefficient Robomac 310 wire bender and are looking to replace with an energy
efficient machine capable of wire diameters 3.0 – 10 mm, coils up to 2000kg and
a slip ring joint to allow unlimited rotation of the arm around the wire.
Proposals to include
prices for supply, installation, and commissioning. Proposals must also include
the specification of the machine to be installed.
Site visits and further specification if required can be arranged with the project manager detailed below.
Capability
Suppliers are invited to provide the most cost effective and energy efficient solution. Examples of similar installations undertaken in the past three years to demonstrate capability to design, install and commission this project.
Selection Criteria
The contract will be awarded to the most cost-effective tender that meets the requirements of the company and can be delivered within the planned timescales.
Payment Terms
Payment will be made in stages and agreed as part of the contract discussions. Anticipated payment terms to be included in the prospective supplier’s quotation.

Timescales
· Completed tenders to be received by the companies Project Manager via email no later than 12:00 noon on the 22nd January 2021.
· Project installation timescale will need to be provided.
